Nurse Family Partnership

Nurse-Family Partnership is a national evidence-based maternal and child home-visiting service for expectant first-time mothers and their newborns. A registered nurse from Children’s Friend provides intensive home-visiting services for the mother and her child until the child’s second birthday. Services are free for participating families.

NFP Goals

  • Improve pregnancy outcomes by helping women engage in good preventive health practices
  • Nurture child health and development by helping parents provide responsible and competent care
  • Empower families through economic self-sufficiency by helping parents develop a vision for their future, plan future pregnancies, continue their education, and find work

Who is eligible?

Women experiencing their first pregnancy who are less than 28 weeks pregnant can enroll in the program.
