Foster Care
Foster parents provide temporary care for children during family crises. Children’s Friend provides intensive training for prospective foster parents. After completing the training and home study process, families are licensed by the State of Rhode Island to foster children.
Foster homes are a safe environment for children whose parents are facing challenges such as medical emergencies, mental health issues, substance abuse, or behavioral problems. During this period of temporary separation, Children’s Friend ensures that the needs of both the children and their families are met, while birth parents work to resolve their issues.
