The Child & Adult Care Food Program supports providers to enrich their knowledge of good nutrition and optimal child development.
Early Head Start
Early Head Start is designed to nurture healthy attachments between parent and child (and child and caregiver). Services encompass the full range of a family’s needs from pregnancy through a child’s third birthday.
Early Head Start Child Care Partnership
Children receive full-day, full-year early education at high-quality licensed child care centers throughout Rhode Island.
Early Intervention
Helping children from birth to three years of age who have or may have a disability, are experiencing developmental delay, or are at risk for significant developmental problems.
Family Care Community Partnership
A collaboration with Family Service of RI, Comprehensive Community Action Program, Center for Southeast Asians, and Tides Family Services to provide ‘High Fidelity Wraparound’ services.
First Connections
First Connections helps expectant and new parents by providing in-home nursing support and resources.
Foster Care
Provides intensive training to certify foster parents so they can provide a safe and temporary home for children.
Fostering Families-Kinship Foster Families
Fostering Families addresses the needs of kinship foster families, where children reside with relatives, such as aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings, or extended family.
Head Start
Head Start’s comprehensive child and family development services promote school readiness for preschool-aged children.
Healthy Families America
HFA pairs expectant mothers or families with newborns with a Family Support Worker who provides parenting support and resources to the family until the child’s fourth birthday.
Kids Connect
Giving children with special needs the opportunity to fully participate in classroom daily routines, activities, and learning opportunities.
Nurse-Family Partnership
A registered nurse from Children’s Friend provides intensive home-visiting services for the mother and her child until the child’s second birthday.
Partners in Permanency (PIP)
Partners in Permanency provides intensive, home-based services to decrease the length of time children are in foster care.
Pre-K
Our Pre-K classrooms offer high-quality educational opportunities for children who are 4 years old by September 1st.
