When we say it takes an entire community to pull off something as momentous as our Holiday Drive, we truly mean it! Every year, the Children’s Friend community comes through for our most vulnerable children and families and helps us ensure that children have warm clothing, coats and toys for the holidays. We absolutely could not serve 5,000 children without your support.
Last Saturday was no exception. Our dear friends and longtime partners, Mutual of America Financial Group, sponsored a special holiday WaterFire and toy drive to benefit Children’s Friend and the Marines and Salvation Army Toys for Tots.
And WOW – did the community come out to support this event! The December 4th basin lighting was the place to be with activities such as Santa’s Village, food and artist vendors, and holiday music. Santa ever arrived via boat, bringing the holiday spirit to Providence.
We’d love to send a HUGE thank you to our friends at Mutual of America Financial Group, WaterFire Providence, and the United Way of Rhode Island, who all worked so hard to make this event happen. We were honored to be included and are grateful for the essential support the event provided for our Holiday Drive.
