Spotlight on the Unsung Heroes at Children’s Friend
In honor of Valentine’s Day yesterday, I wanted to spread some love and highlight two of our teams here at Children’s Friend. These two teams don’t often get the limelight. Still, they are essential to our work every day — our Facilities and Information Services (IS) teams. This behind-the-scenes work often goes unnoticed, except on an icy morning or when the email is down. These are just a few examples of what they do to keep the agency running smoothly.
Our facilities team has kept our centers clean and safe during COVID, troubleshooting issues that arise, battling a very snowy February, and ensuring that we can serve our children and families. Similarly, our IS team has supported staff with our remote work and learning needs all of these months. They have deployed and maintained our technology, answered our many, many questions, and have kept us up and running, whether we are on-site, working from home, or a combination of the two.
During a time of year when we celebrate love, take the time to say, “thank you.” We could not serve our children and families without them.
