We are just four days out from our Annual Investing in Our Children Luncheon on Friday. This year, we are going virtual! We’d love to have your participation, so please join us to see our mission in action and learn more about the impact of Children’s Friend services and programs in our community. We may be virtual this year, but we’ve planned an exciting one hour program for you. It’s something not to be missed! Participation is free! Here’s the link to register and share:

This event raises crucial funds for the child welfare, family support, and child development services we provide for Rhode Island’s most vulnerable children and their families. This year has undoubtedly been a challenging year, and these are unsettling times for all of us. Unfortunately, our families have often been hit the hardest. Throughout the pandemic, our goal has been to find ways to best support our children and families who rely on us. We have been on the frontlines, acting as a lifeline for families.
Unable to attend, but still want to help? You can help grow healthy kids, thriving families, and safe, supportive communities today by making a social investment:

We’ll also present our 2020 Friend of Children Award to a fantastic corporate partner, Nordson Corporation, for their years of dedicated support for our most vulnerable children and families. Over the years, Nordson has sponsored our Summer Learning and Enrichment Program and our Culturally and Linguistically Responsive (CLR) classrooms that vigorously promote diversity and advance language and literacy skills. Most recently, they generously invested in the renovation of our new Althea Center in Providence and volunteered their time to build the playground single-handedly. Their hard work and dedication created a beautiful new outdoor play space for the community and helped us open the Center last fall. We are grateful to have such a committed partner in the Nordson Corporation and the Nordson Corporation Foundation. Congratulations to Nordson!
Lastly, we are conducting the raffle instead of our usual in-person silent auction. We have many amazing prizes this year – local adventures, home, and office upgrades, backyard BBQ, and more! Purchase your tickets here:

We hope to see you on Friday – registration, and participation is free. It’s a great way to learn more about Children’s Friend! See you then!
